Each participant in the Walk receives a Sponsorship Form when they register; this is the official document to present to potential sponsors.
Forms may be copied as required to cater for more and more sponsorship.

Please encourage sponsors to sign up for the Gift Aid option as this enables us to increase your sponsor’s donations by 25% - for example, £50 of sponsorship will become £62.50 with Gift-Aided donations.

You need to give the sponsors house number or house name plus postcode for us claim the Gift Aid – we do not use this information for any other purpose.

Get Online

You can also use online fund-raising platforms such as GoFundMe and JustGiving to get your sponsorship funds directed to our Trust Account. Just send us the link to your event and we'll do the rest.

How To Submit Your Sponsorship Money 

You can hand in your sponsorship money on the day of the event or send your sponsorship money to us as soon as you can and within three weeks of the event to ensure we can claim the maximum eligible Gift Aid on your sponsor’s donations.

When you have collected all your sponsorship money put it with the sponsorship forms and send or deliver to Rotary at the address below – please DO NOT send it to your club or charity.

What Happens To Your Sponsorship Money

As soon as all the walk monies have been received, we will apply for Gift Aid, consolidate all the proceeds and distribute it to all the nominated Clubs and Charities after deducting the agreed 25%.

We will send 75% to your chosen Club or Charity, if you nominate one, and the rest to Rotary charities; this process can take a while but we hope to have it completed by October.

Hythe and Waterside Rotary continually raise funds in order to help local, national and international charities and deserving organisations. We are part of Rotary International, a worldwide organisation with 1.2 million Rotarians based in communities across the world; its volunteers meet on a regular basis for friendship, fellowship and to plan projects that will benefit the lives of others.
