Raise Money For Your Club Or Charity – Or Just Enjoy A Walk

For Clubs and Charities the Walk provides an ideal opportunity to raisSponsorship Form Samplee funds through sponsorship.

Each participant in the Walk receives a Sponsorship Form when they register; this Form shows their Walker Id and is the official document to present to potential sponsors. Forms may be copied as required to cater for more and more sponsorship.

On the day of the Walk, participants need to bring along their Sponsorship Forms to validate their registration; they are then free to embark on the Walk once it opens.

If participants have already collected in their sponsorship monies on Walk day they can hand this in at Reception/Registration; otherwise monies need to be sent to the Rotary Club at the address below.

Please encourage sponsors to sign up for the Gift Aid option as this enables us to increase your sponsor’s donations by 25% - for example, £50 of sponsorship will become £62.50 with gift aided donations.

You need give just their house number or house name plus postcode for us claim the Gift Aid – we do not use this information for any other purpose.

How To Submit The Sponsorship Money You Have Raised

You can hand in your sponsorship money on the day of the event or send your sponsorship money to us as soon as you can and within three weeks of the event to ensure we can claim the maximum eligible Gift Aid on your sponsor’s donations.

When you have collected all your sponsorship money put it with the sponsorship forms and send or deliver to Rotary at the address below – NOT to your chosen charity.

What Happens To Your Sponsorship Money

As soon as all the walk monies have been received, we will apply for Gift Aid, consolidate all the proceeds and distribute it to all the nominated Clubs and Charities after deducting the agreed 25%.

We will send 75% to your chosen Club or Charity, if you nominate one, and the rest to Rotary charities; this process can take a while but we hope to have it completed by October.
